"There's always that risk," notes Jenny Mauer, after previously used 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle falls one piece short.

There's something wonderfully nostalgic about those moldy old games and puzzles you always find stacked in closets and on bookshelves in weekend homes. Like going back to Mayberry. But as Jenny Mauer found out, there's also a downside. "The chances of 1000 tiny jigsaw pieces making it back into the box and staying put for 10 years was slim, I knew that from the get-go." Still, the allure of going back to a simpler time was irresistible. In the end, thought, it was a case of "so close yet so far."  "Trust me," Jenny said, "I looked everywhere."

Not quite
